  • Take some time to plan ahead when it comes to rearranging furniture.
  • Don’t be afraid to move things around and see what it does to your space. It’s an easy, inexpensive way to experiment, and will only cost you an afternoon!
  • Always keep the function of your room in mind.
  • Determine where the focal point of your room is.
  • Consider traffic flow.
  • Position the larger furniture items first.
  • Swop around your art – if you already have multiple pieces hanging around your home (be it single pieces or a gallery) simply remove and hang them on different pre existing different hooks. If you want to arrange some art without using a hammer, try propping it on a shelf or mantel.
  • Take advantage as the light in your changes from summer to winter – utilizing your room to its best potential from season to season.
