Negative experience & poor performance include:
– We overpaid him on his invoice by R41 380 because his calculation was incorrect. The total was suspiciously changed from automatically adding up to a typed-in amount. He justified the overpayment by adding unauthorised & overcharged “extras” and now refuses to discuss the matter nor to pay us back.
– His failure to communicate honestly with us on the completion date resulted in 3 wasted trips to Cape Town. He spent 2 months extra on-site to finish all the work and failed to do so. I ended up finishing myself.
– Electrical not done by a registered electrician (we had to redo some work to get a COC)
– Gas installation was not done according to regulations (we had to fix this)
– The standard of workmanship was unacceptable in many respects for example using poly filler in the bathroom to seal the shower, untidy tile grouting, pink undercoat from painting doors showing, messing up the slate floor & timber stairs, installing lights that didn’t work properly, no stove connection… unfortunately the list goes on…
